The name Spaghetti comes from the word “spago” (string) and “etti” (small) and means ‘little strings’. Spaghetti alla chitarra literally translates to 'guitar spaghetti' as it is square-shaped spaghetti strands created using a stringed chitarra pasta cutter. We recommend this type of pasta with fresh tomatoes or with a jar of high-quality tomatoes. Spaghetti is the also the best choice for the famous “Carbonara sauce” and it is delicious with clams.
